One additional option is the ice cream in different variations, so kids will love it. Something was missing, though, for being confortable with a 5-star review. Very good hospitality from the host and his wife, extremely flavourful and authentic Italian food and would love to visit again!
This place was excellent.
On entering Pescheria, diners are greeted with a cabinet of beautifully laid out fresh fish on piles of ice, just to give an appetising inkling of whats in store. Intimate bistro offering classic Italian entrees, seasonal specials & wine, plus courtyard tables. Fine Italian cuisine, with friendly and attentive staff. I had bruschetta and I loved it.
We ate some then, i saw some other tastes that were coming out of the oven i had to get more! Amazing food.
Let yourself be guided by the owner, he will give you the right tips to enjoy the experience.
Each dish was outstanding and put together with a finesse that left our taste buds dancing.
Real Italian food with Italian ingredients.
If you're a lover of traditional italian pizza with medium crust and light amount of toppings, then this is your place. Great experience on the Bavarian Style edition of DinnerHopping. Wendl-Dietrich-Strae 17, 80634 Mnchen, Germany. Understated, family-owned Italian place with a terrace whipping up pizza, pasta & other staples.
The negroni was also great. Tasty starters/food/deserts and good selection of wine. This was one of my worst restaurant experience in this beautiful city of Munich. 5. Given location in the middle of nowhere, not worth the trip if youre a visitor and staying in the city centre. Five lonely cherry tomatoes and pesto spread across without any idea of what a good pizza should taste like. We visit every time we're in Munich.
All in all, the experience was great.
There are few tables. Super restaurant, very nice atmosphere, delicious food, good service. Classic Italian fare, like homemade pasta, in a family-run venue with an open kitchen & a patio.

Grazie Giuseppe! Nice restaurant interior. We have ordered pasta and it appeared in less than 10 mins. Major problems are the limited menu offer (we would expect more in such a restaurant - but this seems to be a typical situation in Berlin) and the wine cost (too expensive). Very hospitable but the food can be a bit too salty- especially to Indians (and I guess Italians too); plus point Italian beer Ichnousa is served. I like chorizo but the pizza was soaked with all chorizo grease.. Maybe it was just a wrong pizza I choose..
Nothing like some vitello tonnato for a starter and osso bucco with pfefferlanger mushrooms.
On Saturday its getting crowded as soon as it is open! Amazing experience! The waiters are fun and friendly, however some of them overdo it and become not so fun after all. Food was awesome!
Will be back!
Elevated antipasti, pasta, meat & fish, plus Italian wines, in a stylish, white-tablecloth setting. The owners made sure we spend a nice evening and enjoined every second.
Fantastic Vitello Tonnato and Vongole. But couple of things were missing to make it perfect: bread was not fresh and the dessert came straight out of the freezer - was very very difficult to eat.
One of the best tiramisu we ever had. The taste is good and fresh.
Bavaria, Germany Food Guide: 10 Italian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Munich, Gluten Free Italian Restaurants in Munich, Germany - 2021. The wines are great.
This was a business dinner & our clients were as pleased as we were about the quality of the food/wine & hospitality.
You get a normal la carte menu or you can also have the summer 5 course menu (with or without wine matching) for a fixed price, which is what I ended up ordering. I can recommend the fish platter as a starter. Creative takes on classic dishes & a tasting menu in an elegant space with a covered terrace. Very good. Wont order again.
We went as a group of 16 in our own private bus - an outstanding overall experience!
This trattoria is located quite inconspicuously on the ground floor of the Pharao Haus.
All are executed first class. Of course this makes the food quite expensive, but I think it was worth it none the less.
One of our favorites, Dined here twice and unfortunately had two very contrasting experiences when it comes to the quality of the food.
Many of us are foodies on the Wanderlog team, so naturally were always on the hunt to eat at the most popular spots anytime we travel somewhere new.
Stuff is friendly and fast. Schtzenstrae 11, 80335 Mnchen, Germany.
Super recommended , Good experience over all! It's not cheap but you can give a chance to try it.
Prime ingredients are not of top quality.
Great job guys! Good place. Love these 2 pasta dishessooooo delicious!
And nice German beer.
Would highly recommend.
The vegetables were a little bit overcooked but taste great.
Huge wine list and great ambiance.
I ordered via Lieferando on 1.11.2020. Hubby enjoyed the soup, pastas and salads. Nice easygoing place, nice service, friendly atmosphere. The pizza dough was very tasty as it was cooked in a stone oven. The signature Il Cortile pizza (pictures) was a sad thing: buffalo mozzarella baked in instead of added on top afterwards, destroying the taste.
Sauces in the dishes are not balanced. I still enjoyed dining here, and it was a pleasant experience overall.
Food is good. Other than the cost x benefit, everything was really good!
Next time I would like to sit upstairs though. Schwanthalerstrae 37, 80336 Mnchen, Germany. In a place like this, though, you expect to be impressed, to find that little something that will hit your palate just the right way. Cons: high prices (15 euro/pizza) , a specific waiter was rude and, although we were super friendly with him, he just took the money and left without a goodbye or "thank you" when he found out that we hadn't left a tip.
The mains and dessert was good but were missing a bit of the special something. I had linguine with mushrooms cream sauce and I was delicious.
Short note for the other reviews: the pasta is not undercooked , its called AL DENTE. Nice, quite place to chill. Hirschgartenallee 38, 80639 Mnchen, Germany.
I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of their Pizza! 29, 81673 Mnchen, Germany. The only downside is the smell of cigarette smoke if your very near the bar area where the outside door opens. This restaurant has a Michelin Star and the best Italian restaurant in Germany in 2013 and also one of the 100 best restaurants in the world, according to Forbes list. Friendly staff. Only accommodates approx 30 so reservations are recommended. Overall good place and quick on the service. Small tables only so the bottle of wine stayed together with all other bottles, not on our table
Perfect and extremely delicious food. Some of the best food and service weve ever had in Germany. All good, tasty and fresh.
Navigate backward to interact with the calendar and select a date.
We havent finish our aperitif when the first plate was received.
Anyway the starters were really good and service staff was just excellent!!!
We totally love it every time we go here!
We ordered two different pasta and a fish.
The pizza was good but not great.
We like juicy steak.
Bavarian, Italian, or burger menus, plus sightseeing & entertainment, on a vintage US school bus.
Great venue, very high-class and sophisticated.
Depending on their size, groups find themselves ushered into different rooms. On entering, guests will wonder if they have stepped into a restaurant or a stately mansion, with wood panelled walls, brass furnishings and eclectic antiques and hunting paraphernalia. Very good place to eat traditional bavarian food. Dough lacking a little airiness for Neapolitan. Unfortunately no real atmosphere, it's a rather dull place. Helmtrudenstrae 1, 80805 Mnchen, Germany. The 1 litre stein beer is always fun, and the place is certainly lively with the Bavarian band. We began out there, but quickly moved inside, because of the smokers. It's exquisite, dishes are beautifully presented and well prepared. One of the best places to enjoy great food and drinks in Munich!
A simple Pizza and pasta menu with very good dishes of the day. With a menu filled with fresh ingredients and an extensive wine list, it's a great option a nice occasion. Probably my best italian restaurant experience outside of Italy. Overall we had best service. Would highly reccomend! They don't offer pizza here. The seafood was fresh and tender.
I love the ambience!
Booked for New Year's Eve 2015.
No disappointment anytime. A unique experience I highly recommend visiting this restaurant and experience the Italian food with beautiful and international touches.
Very nice place, big and spacious, loads of tables, very nice and helpful stuff, had no problems during the evening because stuff talk decent English, I had a pizza which was so nice that I can't remember when was the last time I was amazed, nice dove, pretty big as well and rich with feelings.
Staff was very nice with us and also you can pay here by card.
Best Italian place in the neighborhood. Because the ristorante was so small when it first opened, it was given the name of La Cambusa (the galley). Rustic-chic space serving classic & creative pizzas, pastas & desserts, with gluten-free options.
OMFG - that was super tasty!
Taste of food, amazing.
Thanks a lot, it was one of the best pizzas I've ever tasted!
They have hundreds of people to be served around the clock since opening till the end so be understanding for the staff!
Restaurant & wine cellar serving Italian & Bavarian cuisine in a traditional, decorative interior.
Stuff is super nice and speaks Italian: I felt like home. Dont come here if youre counting the pennies ;).
Dishes vary according to the fish available, but tuna tartare and grilled mussel starters, plus superb rice and pasta regulars (such as risotto and linguine) and soups, keep regulars happy. It was delightful to spend time here. We enjoyed the amazing pizza and paste.
Will be back!
The salmons carpaccio was good, I would have put more olive oil, but I liked the grilled salad on the side as it created a very strong contrast in flavour and consistency. Was a great evening.
Most probably you will be seated with other people so its a good opportunity to get know some new people.
Feels like I am in Italy with full Italian crew and TV showing Italian soccer matches. As for the pizza, I had Parma.
Pizza came destroyed, half cooked and soggy.
We tried to fix the toppings and eat, but the toppings were crunchy and not cooked at all.
The lady owner claimed to be a sommelier but the wine was very close to being vinegar. A large selection of drinks are included in the price as well. Dessert very good and delicious This romantic restaurant with its elegant Italian atmosphere is located in a dream spot near Nymphenburg Palace. Soup served cold However, it can get very loud on occasions, which may not be for everyone. The food is always creative & super delicious. I have asked for my food to be wrapped up, since i didnt finished it. You can find friendlier service in other restaurants. We normally offer 20% tips but since he asked for the tip we decided for a smaller amount. Great family owned place with mother and son + a tight knit team creating an amazing atmosphere that is a mixture of warmth, welcome, friendliness, relaxation and enjoyment. 8. Relations to other customers, opens room to making great contracts! Great concept, friendly welcome, enjoyable music and live act. No problems in communicating in English whatsoever, very easy to locate and a great place to have a dinner with loved ones.
Totally recommend it! Cleanliness : 5 Service with personality and great knowledge of the wine menu. Once we opened them we realized why. Homey Italian restaurant.
Tegernseer Landstrae 11, 81541 Mnchen, Germany.
Great Italian restaurant with finely tuned taste and nicely looking food. Went there with my friends; we ordered the grilled salmon, pasta aglio e olio, pizza margherita, chocolate mousse and the tiramisu. Nevertheless, eating there is still a nice experience.
A culinary highlight in the middle of Nymphenburg! It is sadly not an Italian for every day due to the price but definitely for a special occasion.
Euro-chic chain for fresh pastas, pizzas & more, set in modern surroundings with an open kitchen. Access to place check! The place is always packed so make sure you come early.
Food and drink was outstanding. Owners seem to try hard to get a star, but so far its only reflected in the pricing, quality isnt there yet. He was easily spending more time with those that spoke German.
Table booked at 19:30 - we got seated at 20:00
Got an amazing meal and had great service.
Wilhelm-Die-Weg 2, 81927 Mnchen, Germany.
I would totally recommend!
Authentic, quality, taste and service: five stars. If you like it more spicy, simply ask for or choose a hot style pizza. All Covid measures are also always taken care of. I thought I will get a good pizza in this place as it was recommend from a few of my friends. Service is very nice and friendly however I was not moved by the food with some pasta that were undercooked as well as some grilled pecorino with honey without real flavours. Lovely staff and always crowded so you might want to book a table in advance.
We've compiled data from NASA on what the weather is like in Munich for each month of the year: see the links below for more information.
Brightly colored space with wall murals, offering gourmet Italian la carte dishes & tasting menu.
Large choice - except prices above pizza average.
In 2015, chef Mario Gamba was honored by the Ministry of Agriculture and members of the Italian Restaurant Guide jury as the best Italian chef worldwide outside of Italy.
Perfect service, very delicious food and super friendly personnel!
We've tried here tomaten soup and two pizzas - soup was very good, mb it could be even better if there would be little pieces of cheese to have taste accents. From the service matter, nothing changes except the layout of tables and that the personal collect your dishes after finishing your food. The staff are exceedingly attentive, recommending wine to compliment your meal choices and suit your personal tastes. So, nice food, nice restaurant. Adding a new section to my post in Nov 2020 covid lockdown: True taste of Italy in Munich. This place is boisterous and convivial, it is great for groups. Each dich was delicious and the staff was really friendly with us.
The service is friendly and efficient, but at the peak time it was a bit slow.
They have a good selection of wine and frequently add new options.
We used the venue for recording some movies.
Relax and enjoy a 5-star dining experience, please dont be in a rush. I got takeout pizza and it's very good.
Dont get ripped off.
1. Also the dessert are very tasty, the "sorbetto al basilico, olio evo e sale grosso" was very surprising, it has been the perfect end to a wonderful dinner.
Dead quiet place Sunday evening, not many people.
We ate here once a week for 4 years! Amazing ambience, food, behavior and service.
Very nice fish and meat.
Time to wait for dishes is around 50 minutes.Appetizer a very thin octopus carpaccio.
But this Carbonara is not eatable!!
Some of the best pasta dishes I've ever had.
Atmosphere : 5
Definitely worth a visit .
But lo and behold, when our food was delivered to the table and we took those first few bites, we were amazed. The pasta looked amazing, I wish I had ordered some as well. My general comment is that if you are not able to get the table ready dont make them available for reservation Sat outside and had a heavy set waiter. No wonder it's Numero Uno in Trip Advisor's list of best Italian restaurants in Munich.
It's a tiny place, very authentic Italian food, very cosy feeling. This was our favorite dining experience in Munich.
I also ordered a plate of delicious arugula and tomato salad topped with parmesan shavings. The tuna tartare was fresh and so were the scallops.
A place where you will fell at your home ..nice people inside fast service good food nice atmosfhere and low prices..good lock Alina and Alex .thank you for having good time there.
The food was awesome and the service was impeccable .
Frstenrieder Str. I forgot to take a pic before I wolfed it down.
Really recommend it when for special evenings. The price is also affordable!
Creative antipasti, pasta & mains, plus a robust Italian wine list, at an elegant, retro trattoria.
Italian pastas & mains with wines from across the peninsula at a simple venue with a garden terrace. Service is as one would expect in these restaurants, discrete when not needed and very helpful otherwise, providing dish and ingredient explanations. Tried on Wed Nov 17.
The menu is presented to the guests at the table in a huge baroque picture frame. It was cool to see a girl come around selling pretzels from a basket. Highly recommend.
Very tasty Italian food. For the classic Wirtshaus experience, you cant go wrong with Bratwurst-Glckl, in a central location near Marienplatz, where the old-world interior includes wood panelling, stained glass windows and heavily tick-tocking clocks. something was missing, since I don't know what is was I can only say it was a good experience overall
Seasonal recommendation on the menue, very nice service, good wines. Italian restaurant & cocktail bar with tasting & pizza menus, in 3 themed rooms with opulent decor.
Theatinerstrae 15, 80333 Mnchen, Germany.
Is perfect for a special occasion! With all the expertise and quality of a popular city restaurant, but with the quaint and unassuming charm of a local place, Vinaiolo has a beautiful atmosphere, which encourages guests to relax and be bold in their choice. Well assorted menu. Pasta dishes were consistent and great both times though. Two Italian friends have told me it's the best pizza they have ever had in Germany. The service was excellent. Amazing place!
Okej scuza uno momento! Nice Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. Vinaiolo was wonderful.
A large range of drinks were included in the price.
Failed to impress me. Visited twice and will return.
Everything about this place was fantastic - the food, the wine and the service were impeccable. This is a one of a kind experience and highly recommended!
Artfully plated osso buco, tortellini & risotto served in elegant dining rooms or a leafy garden. The wine was veeeery good, 11 the glass, but OK for once its fine service was kind of cold at the first impact but then they were cool after all! Extremely dry with no taste! Tuscan specialties, wine & coffee offered in a compact, understated destination. Service was very good and good attention was given to all the guests.
I would say overall a positive experience a very large fast paced beer hall.
), for longer meals, and several dishes. Two adults can share one pizza (1 extra).
Same medium rare but less juicy. Always make time to drop in for their delicious Italian thin crust pan pizza.
Price-wise, on a first glimpse it might look a bit expensive, but the whole atmosphere, the quality of the food and the very friendly and helpful staff, compensate you completely!
When our friendly server told us it was the best pizza in the city, we didn't quite believe him.
Great little Italian place, a few minutes by tram from the town center. Mhlbaurstrae 36, 81677 Mnchen, Germany, Schmied-Kochel-Strae 6, 81371 Mnchen, Germany.
Starters and pasta were really good - we had the fish soup, Vitello and salsicia tagliatelle.
I would definitely recommend stopping by for a meal and beer if youre in town. Waited for a few good minutes (more like 30 min) and this didnt happened, so we just left (paying of course) but without my leftovers.
The waiter and the lady owner got very upset and refused to change the bottle.
The waitresses are all dressed in traditional dirndl outfits and the various live bands are a great contributor to the unbeatable atmosphere you can enjoy here. Pizza is nice, but nothing special, to my taste: however, the waiters are really fun and make some good and nice jokes. Baumkirchner Str. Amazing food in a very modern and cool atmosphere!
Fantastic food and service. Only 2 stars!
Lovely resturant and staff. Must haves are of course all Pasta dishes and the T-Bone steak, while all desserts are very carefully made and tasty! The staff is full of energy and always kindly available. The steak is kind of different that we usually have. Reasonable prices. Fantastic food from 4 restaurants including fillet steak, king prawns etc.
Second the main course is only 3 RavioliYes only 3.cost of it 170 Euro .
Excellent old school Italian restaurant, service was impeccable.. very professional , Amadeo on the floor make you easy and happy to enjoy the time there .. food its so good , perfect temperature points , tasty mix flavours it was a fantastic meal .
The menu offers good traditional fare on a very high level and includes seasonal offers.
To top it off, the interior design is cosy and the service staff was extremely friendly and charming.
Horrible, Nice little Italian hole in the wall place with great atmosphere. Service staff was very attentive and patient, and the dishes recommended were great.
For a real italian restaurant. Food was delicious, drinks also very nice and service was on point (very fast and no issues whatsoever with ordering). Ambiance: Large traditional restaurant with high ceilings and dark wood paneling on the walls.
We had the carpaccio pizza with the bresaola, the dough was excellent, generous with the toppings.
They have minj outdoor seating inside with grape vines that makes you feel like in Italy.
The quality of the fish is outstanding, one of the best I've tried in Munich. Our expectations were not met on this occasion.
The restaurant was very clean and inviting, a very nice respite from the chaotic, dirty, insane Oktoberfest. The food was too expensive for the quality and quantity you get. Visit here after some locals recommend the place.
So this place came highly recommend and I can see why.
The staff is friendly and attentive. Reservations: recommended as this place is so popular so do not expect to walk in and find a seat immediately. Excellent experience dining at Vinothek!
Upscale Italian restaurant with colorful & cozy interior & outside tables, serving creative dishes.
Unfortunately the Tiramisu does not taste freshly made but the main dishes appear to be made from fresh ingredients and taste quite good.
Just make sure the heavy set guy isnt your waiter. The steak with sauce, i enjoyed it!
Value : 5 215, 80639 Mnchen, Germany. Sometimes they seem very unfriendly.
I had a tomato soup that was flavorful. By far the best service and the most friendly owners.
The architecture, decor, and live music is amazing.
We had a veal tartar for starter, which was excellent. The food and service was better than ever.
Great pasta and service.
The tables are very small and everything is overcrowded. - Belissimo!
General ambience of the place, very much satisfactory! 3-floor beer hall dating back to the 16th century, with a Bavarian restaurant, shows & upbeat vibe. My back was hurting and it wasnt great to wait
This is heavenly!
All ingredients are fresh and tasty. Cozy Italian restaurant with extremely friendly staff! At last we had a chocolate coulant with ice, which was also really good.
Recommended to visit here.
You immediately feel like being in a big Italian living room when entering the traditional restaurant, which opened in 1890.
Upscale Italian restaurant founded in 1890, with ceiling murals & classic pasta, meat & fish dishes.
Therefore, certainly no issues for us.
Vinaiolo is a lovely Italian restaurant in Haidhausen.
We went for lunch and chose the 3 course menu.
Wittelsbacherpl. The pasta courses are also amazing and a great wine list too. A little complicated dishes without the simplicity that is the strength of italian cuisine.
The rest of my dinner companions had a fair amount of meat with heaps of sauerkraut and beer. Classic eatery prepping Italian staples including pizza, pasta, meat dishes & desserts, plus wine.
Overall, the food was very tasty. We had the standard four-course menu for dinner and the quality of the produce and the skill in preparing the dishes is very good.
Weienburger Str. Highly recommended!
The highlight in summer is the terrace, which overlooks the Nymphenburg Canal. 2nd time I went was Sunday the 2nd of December at night.
- To the reply of the owner: yes, I am sure. Been here for more than 5-6 times in a year and the consistency in quality and service is amazing! Not to mention that you are directly offered several slices of fresh bread and oil as a dip as soon as you are sitted down; something which is rare even for Italian restaurants in Germany!
Very delicious authentic italian food with very good service.
We had in the end the pasta (tagliolini) and the sirloin.
Easygoing establishment offering Neapolitan-style pizzas, plus antipasti & desserts.
Classic pizza & pasta plates served in a brick-lined room or on a sidewalk terrace. Give the very high price $$$$$, and given the entitled, arrogant attitude of the owner and the staff we recommend to stay away. 80, 81539 Mnchen, Germany. There are meal options for vegetarian/ vegan too and the waiters are keen to understand any dietary requirements.
8, 80687 Mnchen, Germany.
A little pricey, but that is the area so forgivable.
Very small restaurant so reservations are highly recommended. Reservation misplaced, squeezed the 3 of us at a table for 2 even though the place was empty (and remained for the next 2 hours, as our reservation was on the early side). One of the highlights of my trip to Munich! Great restaurant, calm and beautiful atmosphere, fantastic service and delicious foods! This is how it should be served not that gluy / moulder texture most of us got used to by other restaurants.
Our default dinner place as it is right at our hotel.
The stylish interior with its dark furniture, low light and palm trees is the perfect location for a romantic dinner. Theo-Prosel-Weg 5, 80797 Mnchen, Germany, Deisenhofener Str.
Please look at my photos.
